The Fig Tree

Image
We were watching a documentary on PBS one evening, and it was on the Andes mountains in Peru. They were talking about how much of a literal desert it was in the highest elevations and were highlighting the different animal species surviving in that harsh climate. One such animal was the speckled bear. They were talking about this bear and suddenly they show way off in the distance (at least several miles) the brightest green blob on the gray/tan/white mountain stone background. We were all like, what's that!? Then they revealed that it was a fig tree. A single fig tree that created a literal oasis in such a barren environment. They proceeded to show the bear going to this fig tree and then showed the atmosphere around the tree. The fig tree was full with bright green healthy foliage and it was huge! It had many branches and was as tall as it was wide (as fig trees tend to get). Beneath the canopy of the fig tree was a deep pool of water, where the bear could drink - a rarity in th...

Distracted?

Image
Do not allow yourselves to become distracted. What is a distraction? Anything that repeatedly and insistently keeps you from speaking to and listening to the Lord, as well as reading His Word. Are conspiracies, theories, signs, and wonders distracting you? Are current events distracting you? Are personal crises distracting you? Surrender them to the Lord. Seek His wisdom and counsel with everything, for it is worth more than gold. Cast off all fear and anxiety, placing your trust in Christ alone. This is something we ALL must strive to work on daily. The days are dark, getting darker. Mankind is getting more insane and wicked. Prophecy is being fulfilled at a break-neck pace. Deception abounds with no end in sight. Which is why it is so important to keep your eyes on Christ, read His Word, and heed the call of the watchman and prophet to repent and spiritually ready yourself. We are not guaranteed even today. Jesus came, humbled as a child in a manger, in order to bring us back (...

They Had No King

Image
In the book of Judges, the phrase "In those days Israel had no king," occurs four times. You can see it in Judges 17:6, 18:1, 19:1, and 21:25. In two of these mentions, in Judges 17:6 and 21:25, the passage is followed with the phrase, "everyone did as they saw fit."  Why?      In the wilderness, before the Israelites entered into the Promised Land of Canaan, it had been understood, established, and accepted that YHWH (the LORD) was their God, their Ruler, their King. He even taught and established His Commands and Law for the people. They became a holy people, set apart and distinguished by God to separate them from the Gentiles, the rest of the world. It was a true theocracy, so therefore the Israelites did not need a human king. They had the Lord God Almighty over them as king. The King of Kings!     So why does the book of Judges emphasize four times  that Israel had no king, when it was already understood that YHWH was t...

Keep Your Eyes on Jesus

Image
Keep your eyes on Jesus. When the news scares you, keep your eyes on Jesus. When the news fills you with joy,  keep your eyes on Jesus. When the storms rampage,  keep your eyes on Jesus. When the sun shines warmly,  keep your eyes on Jesus. When the road gets bumpy and the going gets tough,  keep your eyes on Jesus. When the road is smooth and the path is straight,  keep your eyes on Jesus. When rumors circle around and conspiracy abounds,  keep your eyes on Jesus. When truth fills your heart and honesty overflows from the soul,  keep your eyes on Jesus. When you are rejected and hated, persecuted and killed,  keep your eyes on Jesus. When you are loved and accepted, welcomed and embraced,  keep your eyes on Jesus. When you despair and lose all hope,  keep your eyes on Jesus. When you rejoice and cling to the promises,  keep your eyes on Jesus. When in doubt,  keep your eyes on Jesus. When full of confidence, keep your eyes on...

Your richness is abundant, Your power is incomprehensible, How great are You Lord! Thank You Father, for Your mere presence. Thank You Jesus, for the life You’ve given me. Thank You Holy Spirit, for You are everything I need. LORD, You are everything to me. Father, You are everything to me. God, You are everything to me. Hallelujah!

An Ethical Dilemma or An Act of Faith?

So I want to address a topic that every Believer of Christ should think about. If I get censored, don't be surprised..... I want to talk about vaccines. I want people to understand where I'm coming from and why this is so important when making informed decisions while standing up for Christ. Some may not know that vaccines (most, you'll have to look up which ones do/don't) are made using the DNA or cell line of fetal cells. You can easily look up on reputable websites where they explain that these fetal cells come from babies that were terminated through abortion. They will tell you the organ the cells came from, the gender of the baby, even the age of the baby in gestation. It is for this reason ALONE that I refuse to allow myself or my children to get vaccinated. It has NOTHING to do with the other ingredients (though they are certainly toxic), nothing to do with autism, and nothing to do with not wanting to prevent terrible diseases. Please go back and re-read that a...

The whole purpose of this blog is for me to have an alternative outlet (other than Facebook) to post and share what the Lord has put on my heart. I enjoy writing and thank the Lord that He has given me this gift. I personally struggle with social anxiety and am an introvert by nature, so writing has always been a means for me to express myself more easily. It is my hope and prayer that every person who visits this blog is blessed and is convicted to seek the Lord. It is my hope and prayer that God the Father get all of the glory from anything posted in this blog. I do not take any credit - even for my own words, but I give the LORD all of the glory. It is HE who works in me, that I serve and glorify!  I am but a humble servant of the Lord, eager to serve however He calls me to.  May you be blessed, no matter where you are in your walk of faith in Christ.  Amen!
