A Prayer & A Song

Image
I am not perfect, but my soul and all that I am is Yours, Father. My voice is weak and broken, guilty of profaning and speaking harsh words. Yet, with my voice I scream out praises to Your Name. Even in silence, my soul sings unending worship to Your Name, Jesus. On the earth, I am dirty, broken, and defiled.  But, Your precious blood covers me! When I go to stand before the Father, You Jesus, will stand before me on my behalf. When the Father sees You, He sees pureness, holiness, and righteousness. Your blood cleanses me and makes me as white as snow. Thank you LORD! I give all praise, worship, honor, and glory to the LORD GOD ALMIGHTY! Who Was, Who Is, and Who Is to Come, YHWH, The Great I AM! Thank You my King, My Rock, My Fortress, My Shepherd......Jesus.

The Fear of the Lord

Image
"For I AM a great King," s ays the LORD of Hosts,  "And My Name is to be feared among the nations."   - Malachi 1:14 The church has lost her fear of the Lord. The Lord's holiness and righteousness is no longer being taught nor is it being lived out in the daily lives of Christians as a whole. That is dangerous. In the book of Malachi (all four chapters), we see where the Lord calls out the priests of that time.  He says that they are cheats, swindlers, and liars, guilty of bloodshed, violence, unlawful divorces, and worst of all....complaining of their priestly duties and services to the Lord. He calls them out because they vainly go about their duties and offerings, yet their hearts are far from God. In fact He says that the priests are weary  of serving the Lord. (Malachi 1:13) The Lord has nothing praiseworthy to say of the priests, which is incredibly sad. How did the priests of the Lord's temple reach such depths of immorality and moral lacking? If you ...

Being the Family of God

Image
Who is the family the of God? Are you a part of His family? Let's look at Luke 8:19 - 9:62 , for it shows us what the family of God looks like. Yes, there are many many  other passages that show us this, but as I was reading this passage, I felt led to just focus on it. Maybe it was for you? Maybe myself....But I hope that this look into Scripture will bless you.  Who is the family of God? 1. "Those who hear God's Word and put it into practice." (8:21) Those who deny the world and give everything to God in both heart, mind, body, and soul. (9:25)     Any one of us can read the Bible, listen to a sermon, or pray. But do we hear  God's Word and do we live it? Does our life look different outside of the church building (or online group) than it does when in it? If there is a difference, it's time to seek the Lord and to repent of those things which are not of Him.     Do you agree that there should be no cussing or profanity in the church? Yet, how many o...

Prophet or Wolf?

Image
A friend of mine asked recently about how we can tell the difference between true prophets and those who are deceivers. Many people in the Body of Christ have been learning in recent months that for obvious reasons, all those who kept prophesying a certain political leader's success in November, were proven false. This is a recent example, but there are examples all across the board of people saying " X will happen at X time by X person.....thus saith the Lord." And as a result, many of those who had a weaker faith, were struggling spiritually, or were looking to those as shepherds and leaders, became bitterly disappointed and left their faith in the proverbial trash can.   So here is my response to that. I am no wise-woman, only a servant of the Lord who desires strongly to bring people closer to Him. My heart grieves every time I see these wolves-in-sheep-clothing and the incredibly deceived, lead people to their spiritual death. My heart grieves! The Church has forgott...

The LORD Looks at the Heart

Image
While everyone is working on their resolutions of not getting sick, achieving weight loss goals, improving money management, finding love, and other such things we tend to set goals for....is anyone working on their resolution of looking like Christ? I am. And already I'm failing. All throughout the Old Testament, we see stories of mighty men (and wonderful women too!) who God used that were so imperfect, it's not even funny. God tends to look at the failures of society, the undesirables, the people who we tend to "SMH" at. And it just wasn't that God picked these people to accomplish His purposes, but whenever we start reading their stories, we begin to love these people and root for them as if they were the best of the best. Let's look at Moses, the most popular example in the Bible. Moses had a humble beginning, born to a non-important Hebrew family, and discovered by royalty floating in a grass basket in the river where there were snakes, bugs, mud, etc......

The Fig Tree

Image
We were watching a documentary on PBS one evening, and it was on the Andes mountains in Peru. They were talking about how much of a literal desert it was in the highest elevations and were highlighting the different animal species surviving in that harsh climate. One such animal was the speckled bear. They were talking about this bear and suddenly they show way off in the distance (at least several miles) the brightest green blob on the gray/tan/white mountain stone background. We were all like, what's that!? Then they revealed that it was a fig tree. A single fig tree that created a literal oasis in such a barren environment. They proceeded to show the bear going to this fig tree and then showed the atmosphere around the tree. The fig tree was full with bright green healthy foliage and it was huge! It had many branches and was as tall as it was wide (as fig trees tend to get). Beneath the canopy of the fig tree was a deep pool of water, where the bear could drink - a rarity in th...

Distracted?

Image
Do not allow yourselves to become distracted. What is a distraction? Anything that repeatedly and insistently keeps you from speaking to and listening to the Lord, as well as reading His Word. Are conspiracies, theories, signs, and wonders distracting you? Are current events distracting you? Are personal crises distracting you? Surrender them to the Lord. Seek His wisdom and counsel with everything, for it is worth more than gold. Cast off all fear and anxiety, placing your trust in Christ alone. This is something we ALL must strive to work on daily. The days are dark, getting darker. Mankind is getting more insane and wicked. Prophecy is being fulfilled at a break-neck pace. Deception abounds with no end in sight. Which is why it is so important to keep your eyes on Christ, read His Word, and heed the call of the watchman and prophet to repent and spiritually ready yourself. We are not guaranteed even today. Jesus came, humbled as a child in a manger, in order to bring us back (...

They Had No King

Image
In the book of Judges, the phrase "In those days Israel had no king," occurs four times. You can see it in Judges 17:6, 18:1, 19:1, and 21:25. In two of these mentions, in Judges 17:6 and 21:25, the passage is followed with the phrase, "everyone did as they saw fit."  Why?      In the wilderness, before the Israelites entered into the Promised Land of Canaan, it had been understood, established, and accepted that YHWH (the LORD) was their God, their Ruler, their King. He even taught and established His Commands and Law for the people. They became a holy people, set apart and distinguished by God to separate them from the Gentiles, the rest of the world. It was a true theocracy, so therefore the Israelites did not need a human king. They had the Lord God Almighty over them as king. The King of Kings!     So why does the book of Judges emphasize four times  that Israel had no king, when it was already understood that YHWH was t...
