Beware of Idols
What influences your words, emotions, actions, and response to things that are evil, wicked, dangerous, etc? Is it that which is of man or is it the LORD? Do you warn to save bodies or to save souls? Are you more focused on preventing the inevitable death of your body of flesh, or are you more focused on your eternal body? Choose wisely, because more is at stake than having a healthy body.
We so readily shout out the warning if something will hurt our bodies, our physical freedoms, our way of life....But how many are shouting out the warning that many are in danger of eternal torment in Hell? Many focus on their fleshly health, but forget that they are in danger of condemnation because their hearts do not belong to the Lord. Many are in danger of the wrath of the LORD! It is not physical dangers we must obsess over, but the very REAL danger of many taking the wide road to Hell out of rebellion against God. Cry out repent! Get off that road of deception and love for this world, and follow Jesus! No physical body can be saved from death, but the eternal body - our soul, CAN be saved from an eternal death! May each of you surrender your cares to the Lord and truly follow Him. Now, I am not saying that we are not to care for our bodies nor be concerned with health. Don't think I am playing extremism here, I am not. I am however, confronting this obsession with health & patriotism that I am seeing sweep through Christians that is idolatrous. So many in the church today follow the name of Christ, but not Christ Himself. So many have given allegiance to the earthly rather than the LORD. So many are disregarding the holiness of our God and are ignoring His warnings and His Word out of fear, wicked hearts, selfishness, and rebellion. Some think that they can do both: both love the world and the Lord, be of the world and of the Lord, say they are a Christian and yet their hearts are far from the Lord. Don't "rise up" for things of this earth, but seek the rising up of an eternal body of righteousness for those who belong to Jesus! Don't unite for an earthly cause - "one voice, together, as one", unite as every tongue and nation before the Throne of God in worship and praise to Him!No earthly kingdom is worth defending, because they will each be shaken and fall by the hand of the Lord. Only the Kingdom of the Living God is established forever - unshakeable, eternal, holy.
Let your hearts be grieved for the wickedness, deception, and rebellion in this world. Cry out to the masses, the churches, the pagan, the secular, the lukewarm Christian....REPENT! FOLLOW CHRIST ALONE! LIVE FOR HIM BECAUSE HE DIED FOR YOU!
It alarms me at how deceived the church is allowing itself to become, with thinking that the Lord wants His people to rise up for an earthly kingdom, much less "conquer" it for Christ. This is false! It alarms me that many in the church have accepted the idea that idolatry of governments, leaders, nations, public figures, etc.... is okay as long as you say the name of Jesus, go to church, and say you're a Christian. It grieves me that so many Christians are persisting on ignoring the Word of God regarding sin, regarding end times and prophecy, and regarding things that are abominations in the Lord's sight!
Things will not be normal. The birth pangs are closer together. The great falling away has begun. War will be waged against the saints as we become increasingly ostracized for our refusal to accept the world's systems and the Beast/Anti-Christ. We are unpopular, called intolerant and old fashioned, considered unpatriotic traitors and are being lumped in with domestic terrorists. We are laughed at, ignored, mocked, and scorned because we refuse to give in nor do we willingly give up our place in Christ. We refuse, I refuse. Come what may, I will stand firm upon the Word of my testimony in Christ Jesus, the King of Kings and Lord of Lords.
Stand firm all Believers of the LORD, endure until the end. Seek the Lord and ask Him to reveal everything that hinders, everything that ensnares and keeps you in bondage. Humble yourselves in repentance and worship Him in spirit and in truth. Obey Him, hear His voice and obey! And trust that everything that happens from here on out is the Father's will and must happen.
Keep your eyes on Christ, because if they stray to any other, you will stumble and fall. Don't allow your hearts to be deceived by that which appears good, but leads to death. Ask for discernment and an outpouring of the Holy Spirit, so that you may be guarded against all falsehoods.
No matter how popular or right something or someone appears in the world, always test the spirits, seek the Lord in prayer and fasting, study His Word, and discern what is of Him. Give up all idols and wickedness. Leave those churches who are teaching doctrines not of the Lord, nor are teaching His Word, nor calling for repentance.
Follow Jesus, all the way down that lonely, difficult, impossible-for-man, narrow path - that in the end, you may enter the Narrow Gate and hear, "Well done good and faithful servant.".
May we all endure until the end. Guard your hearts and beware of idols.
‘These people draw near to Me with their mouth, And honor Me with their lips, But their heart is far from Me."
- Matthew 15:8
“Enter by the narrow gate; for wide is the gate and broad is the way that leads to destruction, and there are many who go in by it. Because narrow is the gate and difficult is the way which leads to life, and there are few who find it."
- Matthew 7:13-14
But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you.
- Matthew 6:33
Jesus answered, “My kingdom is not of this world. If My kingdom were of this world, My servants would fight, so that I should not be delivered to the Jews; but now My kingdom is not from here.”
- John 18:36
"And I say to you, My friends, do not be afraid of those who kill the body, and after that have no more that they can do. But I will show you whom you should fear: Fear Him who, after He has killed, has power to cast into hell; yes, I say to you, fear Him!"
- Luke 12:4-5
"For thus says the LORD of Hosts, 'Once more (it is a little while) I will shake the heaven and earth, the sea and dry land; and I will shake all nations, and they shall come to the Desire of All Nations, and I will fill this temple with glory,' says the LORD of Hosts."
- Haggai 2:6-7
