He Has Redeemed

Can we win a battle relying only on the things of God, rather than relying on and seeking God Himself ? This is a topic that has been on my mind lately, and it stems from 1 Samuel 2-5 where we read an account of the High Priest Eli's two sons: Hophni and Phinehas. It is my hope and prayer today that the Lord direct my words and that the lesson to be learned here is learned and learned well.  Who were Hophni and Phinehas? To give a kind of back story, look at 1 Samuel 2:12, 17, 22-25, 34-35, and 3:11-14. Italicized words in parentheses are my own emphasized words.  12 Now the sons of Eli (Hophni and Phinehas) were corrupt; they did not know the LORD.  17 Therefore the sin of the young men (Hophni and Phinehas) was very great before the LORD, for men abhorred the offering of the LORD.      Be careful that it is Jesus Christ whom you serve. I cannot urge the body of Believers enough, anyone who says they believe in Jesus, to stop what you are doing right now and go to the Lord in prayer. Ask the Lord to reveal all sin and idols in your life and REPENT! Get rid of the filth (secular/vulgar/occult entertainment, music, media, etc...) and leave your life of hidden sin that you so justify! Get right with the God you say to serve. You aren't guaranteed the next hour or day, so why should you continue on the path of sin, immorality, witchcraft, and idolatry?      Jesus is such a merciful Savior who will forgive you and transform you if you allow Him to - if you want Him to. Don't fool yourself. You cannot have eternal life by going to church, by donating to good causes, by being a "good person", by following a "religion". Even the demons believe in Jesus....and they shudder. Just saying, "I believe in God, I believe in Jesus, I'm a Ch...
