Repent and Return to the LORD
Isaiah 47
1 "Come down and sit in the dust, O virgin daughter of Babylon; sit on the ground without a throne, O daughter of the Chaldeans! For you shall no more be called tender and delicate. 2 Take the millstones and grind meal. Remove your veil, take off the skirt, uncover the thigh, pass through the rivers.
3 Your nakedness shall be uncovered, yes, your shame will be seen; I will take vengeance, and I will not arbitrate with a man." 4 As for our Redeemer, the LORD of Hosts is His Name, the Holy One of Israel. 5 "Sit in silence, and go into darkness, O daughter of the Chaldeans; for you shall no longer be called the Lady of Kingdoms.
6 I was angry with My people, I have profaned My inheritance, and given them into your hand. You showed them no mercy; on the elderly you laid your yoke very heavily. 7 And you said, 'I shall be a lady forever,' so that you did not take these things to heart, nor remember the latter end of them.
8 "Therefore hear this now, you who are given to pleasures, who dwell securely, who say in your heart, 'I am, and there is no one else besides me; I shall not sit as a widow, nor shall I know the loss of children'; 9 but these two things shall come to you in a moment, in one day: the loss of children, and widowhood. They shall come upon you in their fullness because of the multitude of your sorceries, for the great abundance of your enchantments.
10 "For you have trusted in your wickedness; you have said, 'No one sees me'; your wisdom and your knowledge have warped you; and you have said in your heart, 'I am, and there is no one else besides me.' 11 Therefore evil shall come upon you; you shall not know from where it arises. And trouble shall fall upon you; you will not be able to put it off. And desolation shall come upon you suddenly, which you shall not know.
12 "Stand now with your enchantments and the multitude of your sorceries, in which you have labored from your youth - perhaps you will be able to profit, perhaps you will prevail. 13 You are wearied in the multitude of your counsels; let now the astrologers, the stargazers, and the monthly prognosticators stand up and save you from what shall come upon you.
14 Behold, they shall be as stubble, the fire shall burn them; they shall not deliver themselves from the power of the flame; it shall not be a coal to be warmed by, nor a fire to sit before! 15 Thus shall they be to you with whom you have labored, your merchants from your youth; they shall wander each one to his quarter. No one shall save you.
If you just scrolled through the above passage without reading, do so before reading what I write. The LORD has been laying this passage upon my heart for the past three days and He wants everyone, both lost and found, to read it, heed it, and repent.
This is going to be one of those posts that very few people will allow to prick their hearts in conviction. This will make very many angry. But again, when the Lord tells me to speak, I must speak. This comes not from my own mind or heart, but from His Holy Spirit. The hour is late. I strive to be obedient to Him, no matter the cost.
"Who are you America, that you think you are untouchable? Who are you nations of the earth, that you think you cannot and will not be shaken? Has the past year not demonstrated that your very world can be brought down to its knees with but a small thing? Repent while you still have time! Forsake and destroy the idols you cling to!
Flags will not save you. Presidents will not deliver you. Entertainment, celebrities, sports teams, and churches cannot pull you out of the fire that is to come. Jesus Christ is Who He Is and He will come. He will not come in peace with words of love and adoration for the wicked earth. But He comes with a sword and a rod of iron! The tares will be pulled up by the roots, the goats separated for slaughter.
Repent sleeping church! Cast off the sin that so entangles you! Holidays prove your double minded hearts and your blind eyes, your deaf ears. I have been wearied of the sound of praise songs to Me being sung alongside praise songs to the things of this earth. Many of you who claim to follow Me sit silent in your so-called worship services, not even willing to open your mouth to me! Yet, on certain days of the year, you will belt out until hoarse songs of praise and adoration to another god. Many of you will stand before a flag and solemnly swear allegiance, your hearts swelling and bursting with pride. Yet, you cannot go and share my LIFE GIVING GOSPEL with even your neighbor. You cannot even STAND UP FOR MY WORD AND MY TRUTH when asked to do so. Your feet feel the beginning warmth of the fires of trials and tribulations and you run to douse them in ice rather than trusting Me and rejoicing in My Spirit!"
Amen, Oh LORD. Amen. May the churches be seeing and hearing in this hour. May we all don on our sackcloth with ashes upon our heads, repenting before the One Who Was, Who Is, and Who Is To Come.
Repent O Church! Wake up O Church! The Hour is late, the time is moving fast. Choose who you will serve this day: the LORD, who is returning soon, or the world. To be in love with the world is to be in enmity with God. To be in love with God, is to be an enemy of the world. You cannot have both. But to those who choose the Lord, will be blessed with peace everlasting. Jesus is our portion, our prize, the One Who we yearn for.
May we all heed the words of the Lord, working out our salvation in fear and with trembling. May we all humble ourselves before Him, making ourselves willing and obedient to serve Him. This country is not blessed, nor will it be blessed as long as it continues in its blatant idolatry, wickedness, sorceries, and sin. Judgment begins in the house of the Lord, just read Revelations 2 and 3! Repent and be reconciled with Christ, your first love. He is mighty to save, He is merciful, He knows His sheep and we know Him.
Adulterers and adulteresses! Do you not know that friendship with the world is enmity with God? Whoever therefore wants to be a friend of the world makes himself an enemy of God. - James 4:4
For you shall worship no other god, for the LORD, Whose Name is Jealous, is a jealous God. - Exodus 34:14
My sheep hear my voice, and I know them, and they follow. -John 10:27
Therefore, my beloved, as you have always obeyed, not as in my presence only, but now much more in my absence, work out your own salvation with fear and trembling. - Philippians 2:12
And do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, that you may prove what is that good and acceptable and perfect will of God. - Romans 12:2
Now out of His mouth goes a sharp sword, that with it He should strike the nations. And He Himself will rule them with a rod of iron. He Himself treads the winepress of the fierceness and wrath. - Revelations 19:15
